Beats Headphones

The Beats headphone project started with Steven Lamar and Pentagram (industrial design). Menlo Scientific worked with INNacoustic on the driver design and associated electronics. As the program moved forward Mike Klasco introduced the design to another Menlo client, Monster Products. After about a year of refinement, Monster launched the Dr. Dre headphones. Unique game-changing attributes was a combination of high power amplification with the ultra-low distortion Maxim amplifier and a headphone driver that could cleanly reproduce both the full output of the amplifier as well as the extreme bass equalization.
